The Pair and Share is the perfect opportunity for our members to get out and about taking photographs of their choice, whilst learning and sharing photographic knowledge. No matter how many years we have been taking photographs we can always learn something new and what better way that in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with colleagues having the same interest.

During the Spring each members who wishes to participate is paired with one other member. Between them they have the opportunity to choose when, where and what they would like to photograph, having the whole summer and autumn to find suitable dates to meet.

One evening during the club’s winter season is dedicated to showing a selection of images from each pair that were taken during these meetings. Not being a competition, it gives everyone the opportunity to have work displayed without it being critiqued. The images always show a diverse range of subjects, talents, individual interests and venues.

In addition, and especially for new members, it is the start of getting to know club colleagues and someone to approach if looking for help or advice with anything connected to photography – if that person doesn’t know the answer he or she will always know someone within the membership who does. All part of the spirit we aim to foster within the club.
